This new self-paced course is designed around real-life situations from libraries across Long Island, offering a unique, practical approach to staff development. While these scenarios are drawn from actual events in Suffolk and Nassau counties, participant anonymity is strictly maintained. Over the past forty years, libraries have evolved, yet many challenges remain consistent. This course addresses these enduring issues in a way that feels fresh and relevant.

Structured into six engaging modules, each lasting 30 minutes, the course fits easily into staff members' downtime. The material is authentic and meaningful, encouraging employees to return to it, not as a task, but as something enjoyable and beneficial. By applying what they learn, they can improve their job performance, which is the ultimate goal for dedicated staff.
